Veteran Who Built This

Honest about what this is: The guides are free. The prompts are free. You will need Claude Pro ($20/month from Anthropic) to use them with your uploaded records. That is the AI tool these guides are built for. VeteranUnlocked is not Anthropic and has no financial relationship with them.

Three Guides. One System.
Everything a Veteran Needs
to Navigate the VA

Use them in order the first time. Return to individual guides whenever you need them. Everything runs inside one Claude Project that remembers your history.

The Process
How It Works

Four steps. One Project. Everything in one place from your first session to your final rating decision.

1
Set Up Your Project

Create a free Claude account, build your VA Project, and run the Memory Builder. Claude learns your history once and remembers it every session.

2
Upload Your Records

Add your DD-214, service treatment records, VA rating letters, and Blue Button report. Claude audits them against your memory file and identifies what is missing.

3
Build Your Claims

Run the prompts. Build lay statements, exam roadmaps, stressor documentation, and a realistic rating strategy. Reviewed and verified by you before anything is filed.

4
Track and Update

Use the Care Guide to build your medical record through secure messaging. Return to Claims Builder after every exam, decision, or change in your situation.

Why AI Changes This
What Changes
When You Have Help

The VA system was not designed to be easy to navigate. AI does not replace your VSO or attorney — it removes the friction that stops veterans from getting there in the first place.

Without AI
With VeteranUnlocked
Hours reading Blue Button reports manually
Claude audits your records and flags what matters
Guessing which conditions might be connected
Secondary connections identified automatically
Writing lay statements from scratch under stress
Drafted in your voice, reviewed with you section by section
Walking into a C&P exam unprepared
DBQ-matched roadmap, practice exam, and reference sheet in hand
Re-explaining your history every single session
Claude knows your full history before you type a word

You Are Still in Control

AI does not file your claim. It does not appear at your hearing. It does not guarantee a rating outcome. Every document Claude produces is reviewed and verified by you before it goes anywhere. You are the veteran. Your VSO files. AI does the heavy lifting between those two things.

Honest About the Limits

If a claim is weak, the guides say so. If 100% P&T is not realistic based on your records, Claude tells you that directly. False hope wastes years and damages credibility on the claims that matter. These guides are built around accuracy, not optimism.

Your Data Stays With You

VeteranUnlocked collects nothing. No account, no database, no stored records. Your information goes between you and Anthropic's Claude platform — and stays there. We never see it.

The guides are free. Claude Pro ($20/month from Anthropic) is what powers them. Think of VeteranUnlocked as the instruction manual. Claude Pro is the tool. You subscribe to Anthropic, not to us — and we have no financial relationship with them.

Our Commitment
We Say What Others Won't

Most veteran-facing resources are either too vague to be useful or too optimistic to be honest. VeteranUnlocked is built differently.

✓ We say

  • "The examiner is not on your side. They are there to fill out a form."
  • "Be specific, not vague. Numbers and frequency win claims."
  • "If a claim is weak, we will tell you. False hope wastes time."
  • "Describe your worst days, not your best."
  • "Not everyone can reach 100% P&T — and that is not a failure."

✗ We don't say

  • "Maximize your benefits." (sounds like a predatory claims company)
  • "Our powerful AI solution…" (corporate, not human)
  • "You deserve 100%!" (false hope is damage)
  • "Easy step-by-step process." (it is not easy)
  • "We can get you the rating you deserve." (no one can promise that)
An Honest Word About This Process

This Is Long. It Always Was.

These guides are thorough because the VA system is thorough — and unforgiving if your evidence is not. That has not changed. What has changed is how long it takes you to get there.

Before AI, building a real claims file meant hours buried in medical records trying to find the right page, guessing at what a rating examiner actually needed to see, and walking into appointments without a plan. Veterans wasted appointments asking the wrong questions or not knowing what to ask at all — and a VA provider's job is to treat you based on what you tell them, not to build your case for you. They are not withholding evidence. They are simply not the ones responsible for connecting your symptoms to your claim. That has always been on you.

AI does not remove the work. It removes the wasted motion. It points you toward the right appointment before you walk in, the right words to use once you are there, and the right document to pull when an examiner says the evidence is not in your file. What used to take weeks of trial and error now takes a fraction of that — not because the VA got easier, but because you stopped guessing.

You do not have to follow these guides exactly, in exact order, word for word. Use them as a starting point. Adapt them to your situation. The goal was never to make you follow a script — it was to make sure you walk into every appointment, every exam, and every form with the evidence you have actually earned.

This was built the same way — one veteran testing this against more than one AI tool, comparing what actually worked, throwing out what did not, and rebuilding it until it held up under real use. Nothing here was theoretical. It was tested against an actual claims file, actual appointments, and an actual hearing.

Do Not Give Up.
Do Not Yield.
